Regions, Towns and Expense Categories.
The usual problem when you can not add a vehcile is that you are in the "Vehicles" screen and not the 'Add Vehicle" screen.
If you are in the correct "New Vehicle" screen there should be an "OK" at the bottom of the new screen. Here is an image of the correct screen. Note New_Vehicle at the top in the blue bar and an OK at the bottom

If there is no OK at the bottom of the screen you are in the wrong screen and need to open the "new Vehicle" screen by clicking on the yellow pus sign at the bottom of the page. Below is the incorrect screen. Note the label is "Vehicles" in the blue bar at the top, there is a list of vehicles on the left of screen and no OK button at the bottom. There is also a yellow plus sign (+) at the bottom of the screen

Secondly the computer you are installing the program on needs to be connected to the internet. I have had some issues with customers installing the program onto their laptops without access to the internet. It should be noted though you do not need access to the internet to run the program, only to install it

When I start a trip the vehicle I have input does not show in the drop down list
If you try to start a trip and your vehicle does not show in the drop down list firstly check that it is in the database. Click on the Vehicles icon (the truck image 5th from the left) and see if the vehcile is listed in the left hand side of the screen. If it shows a License number and not a vehicle name you will need to edit that vehicle to show a "vehicle name". Once your vehicle name is recorded it will show in the dropdown list in the New Trip screenGo Back
My journal entry does not save
The journal tab is the default tab and will be the one that is open when you open the program. Please do not type your daily journal entry straignt into this screen as this will not save. You will need to first click on the yellow plus sign at the bottom of the screen and a "new Journal entry" screen will come up. Do not type unless you are in this screen. When you type your information and then click OK the journal entry will be saved. Below is the Journal Entry screen

My license code does not work or is expired
You will receive your code on the screen and also via an email. The code will be a combination of eight (8) letters and number. It is important to copy and paste rather than retype the codes so that you do not misinterpret the letters/numbers. For example a zero (0)can be misinterpreterd as an "oh" (O), or a one (1) can be misintrepreted as an "eye" (I). If you are not sure how to copy and paste highlight any of the codes, then with the mouse over the highlighted area right click and click "Copy". Then click into the box where you need to type the code and right click then click "Paste".Secondly the computer you are installing the program on needs to be connected to the internet. I have had some issues with customers installing the program onto their laptops without access to the internet. I have a dual fuel vehicle. How do I record my fuel entries to get correct consumption figures
In the new Fuel Expense screen when you record the place your purchased you also record whether it is gas or petrol eg Sydney (gas) or Sydney (petrol). If you purchase both on the same day I suggest that you record them as one day apart and 1 km apart
For example if you purchase 40 litres of gas and 60 litres of petrol in Sydney on the 9th October and your odometer reading is 23569 you do 2 fuel entries
08/10/2009, Location - Sydney (gas), odometer reading 23568
09/10/2009, Location - Sydney (petrol), odometer reading 23569
This way the date is irrelative to the consumption results and your distance travelled is correct. This will then give you a consumption based on the total distance travelled and the total fuel used
